George Robinson:
Born in this area, George joined the army towards the end of the Second World War, serving in the Highland Light Infantry (City of Glasgow Regiment). He was killed in action at the age of 18 on 31st October 1944 and was later buried in Mierlo War Cemetery in the Netherlands. He is also commemorated on his parents’ gravestone in Lincolnshire.
